New Day Christian Church began in March 1994 when Pastor George K. Logan led the first Bible study with eight people in attendance.

On April 3, 1994, the first Sunday morning worship service was held with 31 attendees. By September of that same year, New Day held its first new members class.

Within the first two years, several ministries were launched, including nursery, children’s ministry, and youth ministry. As the church continued to grow, more ministry teams were created to serve the needs of the church and community, including praise team, sound ministry, finance, benevolence, greeters, ushers, hospitality, altar counselors, radio ministry, children’s creative arts, and administration.

Today, New Day continues to grow in the mission God has established. We remain dedicated to sharing the life-changing message of Jesus Christ with Morganton, Burke County, our nation, and the world.
